Who hasn’t learned to sail in an Optimist? The Optimist is a 1-person sailing boat for children, ideal te learn to sail or to improve your sailing. You can rent an Optimist at our campsite and during the high-season we also offer group sailing lessons.
The lake with its relative shallow ‘no-through’ waters could be compared to an outdoor water play area for kids. Learning to sail any safer is virtually impossible!
Optimist sailing course
During the high-season we offer this course. Group lessons are given on Tuesday-, Wednesday- and Thursday evening (17pm – 20pm). All improvements by the child are neatly kept in a booklet and signed off by the instructor. Children must be between 8 and 13 years old and in possession of a swimming certificate. Life jackets are mandatory.
Costs are €105,- per child excluding the Optimist. You can either bring your own or rent one at the reception.
